Source: MAPS Facebook Page Our neighbouring country just opened an all-new Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) a few days ago, in Ipoh, Perak. Poised as Asia's first animation theme park, it features over 40 attractions in 6 thematic zones. Talk about huge! Source: MAPS Official Website The theme park caters to all ages and sizes. Perfect for our little Weekenders or thrill-seekers. The Megamind Megadrop is one to look out for if you're seeking a little thrill -- it brings you 52 metres up in the air before plunging down! Duck out away from the tropical heat and escape into the Coral Kingdom and get to know our marine friends. Little Weekenders can look forward to frolicking with coral reefs and little sea critters. Another Instagram-worthy hotel (with good location too) for your feed: Hotel G

Image
We're all about aesthetically pleasing hotels that feed your inner creative soul and well... your feed. Hotel G is no exception, alongside Hotel Mono . With its prime location, it's a no wonder as to why this hotel is given an average of 8.2 out of 10 ratings. The hotel is located on Middle Road, just a 5-min walk away from the affordable shopping paradise, Bugis Village. We especially love the decor of the rooms, but we definitely do not recommend for parties or larger get-togethers. It'd be perfect for a small get-together with your bros and babes or your significant other. Or, if you're looking to hide away and spend some time with yourself, they have a single room available. Address: 200 Middle Road, Bencoolen, 188980 Singapore Price Range: $$ $$$

COME MAKAN WITH US: Who knew you could savour authentic (Halal) Indonesian and Chinese dishes in Montigo Resorts Batam?

Montigo Resorts is now no stranger to Singaporeans who are looking for a short getaway without the flight. This popular 5-star resort is known for the luxurious 2, 3 and 4 bedroom villas featuring a private pool. Yes, that means you don't have to get out of your villa for a swim! We had the chance to visit Montigo Resorts last week and indulge ourselves in the food served at the two in-house restaurants, TADD'S  and Pantai .  TADD'S Restaurant serves local, Asian and Western all-day dining in a casual semi-alfresco poolside setting. Here you can find local favourites such as Traditional Gado Gado Salad and Nasi Goreng Kampung. The best thing we had was the  Rijsttafel Set (IDR 350.000 ~ S$35) ,  a colourful wheel of Indonesia's favourite dishes! Serve with yellow or white rice, this set meal is good for 3 people if you're not a big eater. Taste wise, it lived up to our expectations and what's great is that you get to taste a bit of ever...
