Source: Facebook Good news for you Weekenders who (sometimes) sobs at the fact that the nearest A&W restaurant to you is an hour ferry ride away -- in Batam.  The American fast food chain famous for its root beer floats, Coney dogs and ice-cream waffles have confirmed to be making a comeback right here on our tiny island! Taxes starting from RM2.50 (S$0.80) for non-rated accommodations and up to RM20 (S$6.50) at a five-star accommodation No, it's not per person. It will be charged at per room, per night. While it might not cost that much to us Singaporeans thanks to the currency rate, it is still a little annoying that there's an extra fee to be paid. Tax will be collected from all types of premises used as accommodation for tourists, except home stay and Kampung Stay registered under the Ministry  Premises with fewer than 10 rooms are said to be exempted as well. Just like our favourite old school television series starring David Hasselhoff: The marathon is held in conjunction with the release of the new Baywatch movie. Unfortunately for you local folks, the marathon won't be available for you ☹️ It will be held in Los Angeles at about 9AM PT on 22 April 2017 for legal U.S. residents. We're hoping there would be a live streaming or something! Welp, guess we have no choice but to only wait patiently for the movie to hit the theatres. The Baywatch movie is expected to be in theatres on 11 May 2017 in Singapore.

SOUTHWEST AIRLINES IS SLAYING THIS NEW SLOGAN Hear ye Hear ye! Southwest Airlines has a comeback for you guys. OWNDAYS TIONG BAHRU RACIST ASSAULT  Owndays, a eyewear store that delivers fashionable eyewear at affordable prices. Although they have managed to save some cash for upscale spectacles, there is nothing they can do from saving these 2 innocent shop assistant from being assaulted last night in Tiong Bahru. According to Observer + news,  the misunderstanding started in a train where the Indian lady in the video and another lady (who is behind the camera), presumably of PRC descent, alighted at the same station. It was not clear what exactly happed but it escalated to the point where the Indian lady chased the PRC lady and ended up in Owndays where she seeks help. Two staff members from Owndays then decided to call the police after they too were assaulted. The Indian lady had also used crude remarks to refer to the Chinese race.
